Formatting the Style of a Drawing Object
From the Style tab, you can change the style attributes of a selected drawing object. Settings for all line drawn objects are similar while text objects have additional position settings.
Formatting Line Drawing Objects (Trendline, Arc, Time Cycle, etc.)
- Activate a Chart Analysis window containing a drawing object.
- Right-click on the drawing object and select Format [Line Drawing Object Type]. The Format [Drawing Object Type] dialog will be displayed.
- Click the Style tab.
- Select a Property Name to format.
- Select a line color from the Color drop-down list.
- Select a line style from the Style drop-down list.
- Select a line weight from the Weight drop-down list.
- Use the Transparency slider, or enter a value in the % box, to change the line transparency, where 0% is completely solid and 100% is invisible.
- Select the Set as Default check box to use the settings as the default for all future drawing objects of this type.
- Click OK when finished.
You can also use the menu for a selected object to change the color, style, weight, transparency, and any object specific settings.
Formatting Solid Drawing Objects (Rectangle, Ellipse, Arrow, etc.)
- Activate a Chart Analysis window containing a drawing object.
- Right-click on the drawing object and select Format [Solid Drawing Object Type]. The Format [Drawing Object Type] dialog will be displayed.
- Click the Style tab.
- Select a Property Name to format.
- Select a line color from the Color drop-down list.
- Select a line style from the Style drop-down list.
- Select a line weight from the Weight drop-down list.
- Use the Transparency slider, or enter a value in the % box, to change the line transparency, where 0% is completely solid and 100% is invisible.
- Select the Set as Default check box to use the settings as the default for all future drawing objects of this type.
- Click OK when finished.

Formatting Text Drawing Objects
- Activate a Chart Analysis window containing a drawing object.
- Right-click on the drawing object and select Format Text. The Format Text dialog will be displayed.
- Click the Style tab.
- Select a Property Name to format.
- Select a color from the drop-down list.
- Select the Horizontal Alignment for the object relative to the initial reference point (where the object was placed when created. For example, Right means that the right side of the text touches the reference point while Centered puts the horizontal center of the text object over the reference point.
- Select the Vertical Alignment for the object relative to the top of the reference bar. For example, Bottom means that the bottom of the text touches the reference point while Centered puts the vertical center of the text object over the reference point.
- Use the Transparency slider, or enter a value in the % box, to change the text transparency, where 0% is completely solid and 100% is invisible.
- Click the Font tab.
- Select a Font, Style and Size for the text.
- Select the Set as Default check box to use the settings as the default for all future drawing objects of this type.
- Click OK when finished.
