Desktop Preferences - Updates
Use the Updates tab to set the preferences for the TradeStation Update Manager. This includes whether your updates are automatic or manually downloaded, and from where Desktops and Workspaces are backed up from when an update is applied.
Access using the menu bar File > Preferences > TradeStation Desktop menu sequence and select the Updates tab.
TradeStation Update Preferences
Controls the method in how the TradeStation platform updates are downloaded to your computer.
- Automatically download latest TradeStation Platform updates (recommended) - Select this setting to allow TradeStation to automatically download the latest update to your computer. When TradeStation is running, you will be notified when a new update has been downloaded. By default, updates will be downloaded in the default location.
- Manually download TradeStation Platform updates - Select this setting to manually download available updates. You will be notified when a new update is available for download.
Component Backup Settings:
Controls the location settings in where TradeStation Desktops and Workspaces are backed up from. For more information, see About Backup and Restore.
- Status - Check this setting to enable your desktops and workspaces to be saved.
- Component - Check this setting to enable the location path of the desktops and workspaces. The Eclipse button displays the Browse to Folder dialog, and navigates you to the location to save the desktops and workspaces (if different from the default location).
Click OK to apply changes or Cancel to exit without changes.
