Customize - Commands

The Commands tab in the Customize dialog allows you to customize the commands that are used for toolbars and hot keys. You can add or remove toolbar buttons to a new or an existing toolbar as well as assign a hot key to a command. This is useful when you are using a command frequently and provides you with a shortcut in doing so.

 Access using the menu bar View > Toolbars > Customize menu sequence and select the Commands tab.

 Access using the menu bar View > Macros menu sequence, or from the main toolbar Macros button. Click the Toolbars button and select the Commands tab.

Categories  

Displays all the menu bar options and macro categories available in the platform.

• Select the desired menu or macro option to display the list of commands associated with each option.

Commands  

Displays a list of commands associated with the selected category. Commands may be added to preexisting toolbars or can a new toolbar can be created.

• Click and drag the desired command to the desired toolbar. If you would like to create a new toolbar with the selected command, drag the selected command outside of the dialog and a new toolbar is created.  

Current Hot Keys  

Displays a predefined hot key command associated with the selected command.    

Definition - Displays a description of the selected command.

Modify - Launches the Modify Button dialog.

Hot Keys - Launches the Hot Keys dialog. This will allow you to create or edit a hot key command.

 Click Close to apply changes.
