Formatting the style of an ActivityBar study cells enables you to change the way in which the ActivityBar study cells are displayed on your chart.
For instance, you can display cells with or without borders, as solid cells with varying colors to signify different time periods, or only with cell notations (letters or signs inside the cells). You can also specify whether or not to display the ActivityZone, as well as whether or not you want to display the open and closing prices on the chart.
Activate
a Chart Analysis window containing an ActivityBar study. Access using
the menu bar Format > Analysis Techniques
menu sequence. The Format Analysis Techniques & Strategies dialog
is displayed.
Activity Cells
A
zone highlights specific cells of each ActivityBar study on the chart
by enclosing them in a box, the dimensions and location of which is specified
by the specific ActivityBar study. For most ActivityBar studies, the zone
is drawn around all the cells that fall between the open and close of
the bar. However, the Price Distribution ActivityBar study draws the zone
around the most frequently occurring price in the bar, one standard deviation
above it and one standard deviation below it. You can change the number
of standard deviations used to draw the zone. For specifications on the
zone in each study, refer to the description of the applicable ActivityBar
study.
Click Default to use the selections as the default settings for that ActivityBar study in the future.
