TradeStation International Data Symbology

The symbology for TradeStation international data (non-US stock, options and index symbols) makes use of a country code added in front of the industry standard symbol. For U.S. symbols, no country code is required, although a US: prefix may be used, if desired, to explicitly refer to United Status symbols.

Refer to the following items for syntax rules and examples.

TradeStation International Data Syntax

non-US indices
[Country code]:$[Symbol root]
A 2 character country code, followed by a colon, followed by a dollar sign, followed by the industry standard symbol for the index.
For example, DE:$DAX for the German market quote of the DAX index.

non-US futures
[Future Symbol Root][Month Code][2 Digit Year]
A future symbol root, followed by the month character code, followed by two year digits
For example, FESXU06 for the Dow Jones EURO STOXX 50 Index (on the German EUREX exchange) with a Sept 2006 expiration.

non-US future option
[Future Option Symbol Root][Month Code][2 Digit Year]<space>[C or P][Strike Price]
A future option symbol root, followed by the month character code, followed by two year digits, followed by a space, followed by the Call or Put code, followed by the strike price.
For example, OES1V06 C3650 for the Dow Jones EURO STOXX 50 Index (on the German EUREX exchange) Call at a strike price of 3650.00 with a 9/15/2006 expiration date.

In the Symbology expressions given in this section, [x] denotes a parameter that should be replaced with a value. The brackets ([ ]) are not a part of the expression. For example, [Symbol root] should be replaced with a symbol, such as ORCL. Items in italics are optional.
