Editing Input Values for a Strategy

Inputs are parameters, or replaceable values, used in the calculation of a trading strategy. This value remains constant and is the only type of value that can be optimized.

1. Activate a Chart Analysis window containing a strategy.
2. From the Menu bar, click Format > Strategies. The Format Analysis Techniques & Strategies dialog is displayed.
3. Select the strategy to modify.
4. Click Format. The Format Strategy: [strategy] dialog is displayed.
5. Click Inputs tab.
6. Select the input you want to modify in the Value field.
7. Type the new input value or expression. To modify the input using EasyLanguage, click Dictionary.
8. To optimize the input, click Optimize. For more information, see About Strategy Optimization.
9. Repeat steps 6 - 7 for each input to change and/or optimize.
10. Click OK.
11. Click Close when finished.
