Scanner Preferences - Advanced

On the Advanced tab, you can change the Timeout Duration from 10 seconds to 2 minutes. The timeout duration is how much time Scanner will wait for a data request before it will drop the symbol from the list.

Tip: When you set the timeout duration to a lower amount of time, the scan will process faster but there is a higher risk that some symbols will be dropped if there is any delay in retrieving the data. A higher value may take longer to process but has less risk of symbols being dropped.

Access using the menu bar View > Scanner Preferences menu sequence and select the Advanced tab.

• Drag the arrow to the desired area of the bar to select the amount of time the scanner will wait for data before dropping the symbol from the results. Note that changing this setting only affects future scans.

Click OK to apply changes, or Cancel to exit without changes.
