Setting Order Entry Preferences

You can set your order entry preferences for the Order Bar and Matrix Trade Bar to reflect the values that you most commonly use when placing orders. You can also enable additional order entry preferences for short selling, enable/disable order confirmations, and set up validation warnings. The Order Entry Preferences menu includes general settings and those specific to an asset class.

From the Menu bar, click File > Preferences > Order Entry Preferences. The Order Entry Preferences dialog is displayed.
In the left pane, select the desired trading type (Equities, Options, Futures, or Forex) to expand the list and view the preference categories to set for each market.
Select a category type and the window will display the related options.
Enter the desired settings (see category items below for more information).
Click OK when finished.
