Hiding an Indicator

Sometimes you may not want to remove or display an indicator on your chart but still want to perform its calculations and notify you of any alerts that are triggered. You can do this by hiding an indicator. This keeps the indicator enabled and allows it to continue calculating "behind the scenes."

1. Activate the Chart Analysis window containing the indicator to hide.
2. From the Menu bar, click Format > Analysis Techniques. The Format Analysis Techniques & Strategies dialog is displayed.
3. Click the Analysis Techniques tab.
4. Select the indicator to modify.
5. Click Format.
6. Click the Scaling tab.
7. Under Axis, select Hidden from the Subgraph drop-down menu.
8. Click OK. You may be prompted to move the analysis technique into the same subgraph as the symbol on which it is scaled, click No.
9. Click Close.
