Setting an Alert for an ActivityBar Study

Most analysis techniques include alert criteria, such that when market conditions meet the criteria specified in the applied analysis technique, the alert is triggered and you are notified by means of an Alert Notification window and/or audible beep. You can change how you are notified.

When you enable the alert for an ActivityBar study and market activity meets the alert criteria, the alert is triggered and you receive a notification. All alerts are also logged into the Message Center. For more information on monitoring alerts, see About the TradeStation Message Center.

TradeStation checks for an alert whenever any of the following conditions occur:

• Price data plotted on a Chart Analysis window is updated
• A workspace is opened
• A symbol on a chart is replaced by another symbol
• The ActivityBar study is first applied to the chart
