Manage Custom Symbol Lists

The Manage Symbol Lists dialog lets you create and/or modify custom symbols lists in Portfolio Maestro as well as open data source symbol lists in Open Portfolio Maestro.

Open source symbols lists are found only in Open Portfolio Maestro.

Accessed using the Tools > Manage Custom Symbol Lists main menu sequence or from the Create/Manage button of the Insert Symbol List dialog.

Create - Creates a new custom symbol list name or open data source symbol list name.

Rename - Allows you to enter a new name for a specified list.

Delete - Lets you delete a specified list from a custom symbol list or open data source symbol list.

Lookup - Accesses the Symbol Lookup dialog where you can search for a symbol by entering a partial or complete description under the appropriate asset tab. For example under Stocks, type Microsoft to find the equities and options symbols having 'Microsoft' in their description.

Insert from a List - Used to add all of the symbols from an existing symbol list to the end of the symbol list being created or edited.

Remove - Deletes the highlighted symbol from the symbol list being created or edited.

Close - Saves the changes to the symbol list being created or edited.
