The Messaging dialog allows you to enter the e-mail addresses you want to receive the alert messages. When using e-mail messaging in TradeStation, you must use the default e-mail program on the computer that you are using for TradeStation. In order to receive e-mail messages for the alerts, you must be logged into your e-mail account.
Access from the Notification Preferences dialog, check the Email setting, and click the Configure button. The Messaging dialog is displayed.
From - Enter the e-mail address you want the e-mail notification to be sent from.
To - Enter the e-mail address(es) you want e-mail notifications sent to. Use a semi-colon when using multiple e-mail addresses.
Using - Enter or lookup the server name or IP address associated for the e-mail system that you are using in the SMTP Server Name or IP Address box. You cannot enter multiple SMTP server names or IP addresses.
SMTP Lookup - Click this button to provide a list of common mail server addresses.
My SMTP Server Requires Authentication - Check this setting if you need to enter an account name and password associated with the e-mail program you are using.
Settings - Select the message format that you want to use and enter the maximum number of characters that you can receive per e-mail.
Click OK to close the Messaging dialog, OK to close the Notification Preferences dialog, or Cancel to exit without changes.
