Formatting Properties for OptionStation Models

When creating or modifying models in EasyLanguage, you can format their properties so that these settings are used when an analysis technique performs a calculation. You can modify the name, short name, notes, and maximum number of bars the study will reference.

  1. From the Menu bar, click File > Properties or click Format Properties image\format_properties.gif icon to open the Properties window.
  2. Click the General tab.
  3. Enter a new name in the Name box (to change the name of the analysis technique).

You can create a copy of an analysis technique currently open in the EasyLanguage editor by saving it with a different name. One reason you may want to create a copy of an analysis technique is if you want to modify an existing analysis technique while still maintaining the original analysis technique's EasyLanguage commands.

  1. Enter an abbreviated name for the analysis technique in the Short Name box.
  2. In the Notes box, enter relevant notes pertaining to the analysis technique.
  3. Click the appropriate Maximum number of bars study will reference option: Auto-detect or User defined. For more information, see About the Maximum Bars Back Setting.
  4. Click OK when finished.
