Setting Chart Analysis Preferences
Chart Analysis Preferences includes other settings you can change that affect the way your chart data is displayed. There are five categories of settings that you can modify, General, Status Line, Symbol, Strategy, and Data. Chart Analysis preferences are global changes, so they will affect all of your Chart Analysis windows.
- Activate a Chart Analysis window.
- From the Menu bar, click View > Chart Analysis Preferences.
- Select the tab for the settings to modify.
Click any link below for details of the settings available on each tab:- General - You can use this tab to set various preferences for a chart. All of the settings on the General tab are shown as check boxes. Click the check box to select the check box and apply the setting. To turn off the option, click the box again to clear the check mark.
- Display - This tab lets you modify the global display settings for charts.
- Symbol - Use this tab to modify the symbol data displayed on a chart.
- Style - This tab lets you change the display styles (color & thickness) for data series and bar types.
- Strategy - You can use this tab to determine your strategy optimization settings.
- Data - Use this tab to establish if you want your charts reloaded and recalculated after the completion of a historical data download.
- Click OK when finished.
