Saving (Exporting) the Data Window as a ASCII Data File

You can export the information in the Data window to a file in ASCII format, enabling you to import that ASCII file into another application.

1. From the Data window, click the Save icon. The Save As dialog is displayed.
2. In the Save in drop-down list, navigate to the location where to save the file.
3. Type a file name in the File name box. The Save as type should display the Text Files (*.txt) option.
4. Click Save. The information in the Data window is saved to the specified path and filename.

For Multiple Symbols

The Select Data Stream dialog is displayed if you have multiple symbols in your data window:

You can only save data for one symbol at a time.

1. From the Data window, click the Save icon.  
2. Select the symbol to save the data for.
3. Click OK. The Save As dialog is displayed.
4. In the Save in drop-down list, navigate to the location to save the file.
5. Enter a file name in the File name box. The Save as type box should display the Text Files (*.txt) option.
6. Click Save. The information in the Data window is saved to the specified path and filename.
