Modifying a Chart's Status Line

The status line provides information on each symbol that is plotted on a chart. It displays at the top of each symbol's subgraph and includes information such as the symbol, description, and the latest price. You can select the information you want displayed as well as their colors.

Modify the Positioning and Information Displayed in the Status Line

  1. Activate a Chart Analysis window.
  2. From the Menu bar, click Format > Window. The Format Window dialog is displayed.
  3. Click the Status Line tab.
  4. To display the chart status line, make sure that the Show Status Line check box is selected.
  5. Under Indications, place a check mark next to the indications to display or clear the check box to not display.
  6. Under Fields, select the check boxes corresponding to the fields to display. Clear the check boxes corresponding to the fields that you do not want to display. To read more about a selected field, click Definition.
  7. Click OK.

Modify the Status Line Font

The font's style, color, and size are set once and your changes apply to all text shown on your Chart Analysis window.

  1. Activate a Chart Analysis window.
  2. From the Menu bar, click Format > Window. The Format Window dialog is displayed.
  3. Click the Font tab.
  4. From the Property Name list, select the chart window element that you want to modify; Status Line or Axis Labels.
  5. Select a font from the Font drop-down list, a style from the Style drop-down list, and a point size from the Size drop-down list.
  6. To add a line through the text, select the Strikeout check box or to add a line under the text, select the Underline check box.
  7. Select the Set as Default check box to apply these settings to all future Chart Analysis windows.
  8. Click OK.

Modify the Status Line Colors

  1. Activate a Chart Analysis window.
  2. From the Menu bar, click Format > Window. The Format Window dialog is displayed.
  3. Click the Colors tab.
  4. From the Property Names list, select the chart window element to modify. The Status Line text uses the Displayed and Directional properties.
  5. The palettes displayed depend on the property selected. Click a color in the Foreground or Background palette.
  6. Select the Set as Default check box to apply these settings to all future Chart Analysis windows.
  7. Click OK.
