OCO/OSO Order Bar - Columns and Fields
The OCO/OSO Order Bar dialog is made up of order rows and columns that describe the segments that make up your OCO/OSO order. This dialog helps you review the order elements based on the OCO/OSO order templates you have selected and contains editable fields where you can change the details about the order.
You may want to further edit the order, attach a bracket or single orders, or use the Advanced settings to be included in your order. The Advanced orders settings provides you with greater control over how your order is placed and how it is reflected in the market.
The following columns and fields are available:
- Symbol - The symbol for which you are placing an order.
- Action - The type of action that is used for the order (buy, sell, sell short, buy to cover).
- Quantity - The amount of a specific symbol that you want to buy or sell specified either in shares/contracts or dollar amount. You can use the or buttons to increase or decrease the quantity by a specific increment. See Setting Order Entry Preferences for information on how to set this value.
- Order Type - The type of order that you are placing. The available order types are Limit, Market, Stop Market, and Stop Limit. See Order Bar Types for more information. Certain order routes may have limitations on the types of orders accepted.
- Limit - Specifies the limit price when the order type is Limit or Stop Limit. Use the button to select an auto price value (join, improve, hit/take, etc.) from the drop-down list, Custom Price to enter your own price value, or one of the following offsets: Offset from Primary Order is based on the target limit price for the primary order; Offset from Primary Fill is based on the filled price of the primary order; Offset from Stop Price is based on the target stop price of a stop limit order.
- Limit Offset- The amount in which you want to offset the limit price for the transaction. You can use the buttons to increase or decrease the limit amount by a specific increment. See Setting Order Bar Preferences for information on how to set this value.
- Stop - Specifies the stop price when the order type is Stop Market or Stop Limit. Use the button to select an auto price value (join, improve, hit/take, etc.) from the drop-down list, Custom Price to enter your own price value, or one of the following offsets: Offset from Primary Order is based on the target stop price for the primary order; Offset from Primary Fill is based on the filled price of the primary order; Offset from Stop Price is based on the target stop price of a stop limit order.
- Stop Offset - The amount in which you want to offset the stop price for the transaction. You can use the buttons to increase or decrease the limit amount by a specific increment. See Setting Order Bar Preferences for information on how to set this value.
- Route - The path of execution for an order. All order routes offered by TradeStation are direct access routes. Certain order routes may have limitations based on the asset type and Advanced settings that you may use.
- Duration - The length of time that your order will remain valid in the market. For details on the durations available, see Order Bar Durations for Equities. The available durations may change depending on the selected order route. In addition, certain Advanced settings are not available for certain durations.
- Account - The account that you want to use for your order.
- Advanced - Displays the Advanced settings that are selected for the order. See About Advanced Orders for a complete list of the Advanced order settings. Certain Advanced settings are not available with certain route, duration, price and quantity combinations.

- Deletes the order row.
Attach Bracket and Single Orders

- Allows you to enter the symbol, quantity and the number of limit and stop levels to be created in the Bracket Settings dialog. For more information, see Bracket Settings.

- Allows you to add a single OSO order row. You may attach as many as you desire as each single order will appear indented one level beneath its primary order row). Review each row to ensure that the symbol, action, and quantity are correct and that the appropriate limit and stop settings are specified.
