Walk-Forward Optimizer

The TradeStation Walk-Forward Optimizer (WFO) is an tool that runs outside of the TradeStation platform. It allows you to automate the complex, multi-step task of carrying out the statistical walk-forward testing of a trading strategy's optimized inputs.   

In addition, TradeStation WFO includes an integrated help system that can be accessed from clicking the ? icon at upper right of any page.

To access the Walk-Forward Optimizer from the TradeStation Platform:

• Use the menu bar View > Walk-Forward Optimizer menu sequence.
• From the TradingApps window, click the Walk-Forward Optimizer icon.
