Desktop Preferences - Sessions

Use the Sessions tab to set the default session for each symbol category. You can choose the regular session or create a custom session. The symbol categories are: Bonds, Futures, Future Options, Indexes, Index Options, Money Market Funds, Mutual Funds, Stocks, and Stock Options.

 Access using the menu bar File > Preferences > TradeStation Desktop menu sequence and select the Sessions tab.

Symbol Category

Controls the default session of the symbol category selected. By default, all symbol categories are set to Regular session. When trading a particular symbol type in a different time zone, you may want to consider customizing a session for that particular symbol category.

• Symbol Category - Select the symbol category you want to set a default session to.
• Default session to use for ... - Depending on the symbol category you selected, the default session to use for... option will change.
• Regular session - Select this setting to use regular market hours for the symbol category you selected.
• Custom session - Select this setting to customize a session outside of regular market hours for the symbol category you selected. Click the View/Customize button to select or create the custom session that you want to use. For more information, see Creating a Custom Session Template.

 Click OK to apply changes or Cancel to exit without changes.
