Order Routes for Options

Options order routes are routes that are used specifically for placing Options orders. The TradeStation Order Bar allows you to choose a market participant to route your order. There are different order execution rules and Advanced order placement options available depending on the market participant chosen.

From the Options tab of the Order Bar, use the Route drop-down list to select the desired order route.

Each order route is uniquely different and must be considered before selecting the order route type.

For each options route type listed below, the following sections are available to you.

• Order Durations - Contains each order duration type for options orders with specific information about each order route, i.e. hours of operation, when orders may be entered, when orders will cancel, the lifespan of the order, etc. For more detailed information on order durations for options, see Order Bar Durations for Options.
• Advanced Settings - Based on the order route and order duration type selected, the Advanced settings are enabled or disabled in the Order Bar. Advanced settings for options order placement are listed under each options order route type.
• Order Behaviors - Contains a list of behaviors that are applicable for the selected route type, as each order route type have their own unique order behavior. Behavior for orders will vary depending on the route chosen.
