Options Filter Dialog

The Options Filter dialog is used to filter the results of your options searches by strike price range, expiration date, option type, and symbol type. The settings you choose will appear on the Symbol Lookup - Options tab under Filter Settings.

 Select Lookup when entering a symbol to access the Symbol Lookup dialog. Then, from the Options tab, click Modify Filter.

 

The following sections describe the filter settings to use for an options symbol lookup.

Strike Price Range  

Determines the highest and lowest strike prices to include in the options lookup results.

  • Return [ ] strikes above/below underlying price - Specifies the number of strike prices above and below the current price of the underlying asset.
  • Return strike prices from [ ] to [ ]- Specifies a strike price range using the from and to boxes.

Expiration Date  

Determines what expiration dates to include in the options lookup results.

  • Return the next [ ] expiration dates - Specifies the number of expiration periods to use from the current date.
  • Return the expiration date from [ ] to [ ]- Specifies the range of expiration dates using the from and to drop-down lists.

Option Type  

Determines the type of options to include in the options lookup results. You can select one of both of the Calls or Puts check boxes.

  • Calls - Indicates the options Calls will be returned.
  • Puts- Indicates the options Puts will be returned.

Symbol Type  

Determines the type of symbols to include in the options lookup results. You can select any combination of symbol type check boxes.

  • Composite - Indicates that composite options symbols will be returned.
  • Regional- Indicates that regional options symbols will be returned.
  • Include Mini- Indicates that mini options symbols (1/10 of a standard sized option) will returned.

Set as Default - Check this setting to use the above settings as your default for other options symbol lookups.

 Click OK to apply changes or Cancel to exit without changes.
