Customize Study - Inputs

The Inputs tab allows you to customize the inputs for the selected study. Inputs allow you to modify the way the study is calculated and how its components are displayed.

An input is a default value that the application uses to calculate the study/indicator. If you want to set an alert for a study column, you must specify the value at which you want to be notified.

An example of an input value is the number of bars used to calculate a simple moving average. Your charting application uses a default value for the number of bars, however you can change that number when you customize the study/column. The inputs available will vary depending on the study's column.

For the Quick Quote window, only the UpColor, DnColor, and ColorScheme inputs can be formatted. The inputs are listed with their corresponding values in the top pane.

Access using the Studies > Edit Studies or Studies > Edit Strategies menu sequence, highlight a study, click Customize, and then select the Inputs tab.

From the Quick Quote window, access using the Customize Fields dialog, and click the Inputs tab.
