Specifying the Symbol on which to Base the ProbabilityMap Study

When you have more than one symbol plotted in your price chart, you can add a ProbabilityMap study on any of the symbols in the chart. To do so, you must customize the study and select the desired symbol. The ProbabilityMap study is inserted in the same subgraph as the symbol on which it is based.

  1. Activate a Chart Analysis window containing multiple symbols and a ProbabilityMap study. Access using the Studies > Edit Studies menu sequence. The Customize Studies & Strategies dialog lists the studies that you currently have applied to your chart.
  2. Select the ProbabilityMap study to edit.
  3. Click Customize.
  4. Click the General tab. The Customize Study - General dialog is displayed.
  5. From the Base study on drop-down list, select the symbol on which to base the ProbabilityMap study on. The study will automatically be moved to the subgraph containing the symbol that you selected.
  6. Click OK, click Close when finished.

You can customize the study as you apply it to a chart, by selecting the Customize Study check box and then following steps 4 - 6 above.
