Toolbar Display Options

Toolbar width or height may vary based on the size of the window. There are two types of display options you can customize for your personal preference; screen tips and large buttons.

Screen tips (tool tips) are small windows that display descriptive text when you rest the pointer on a command or control. TradeStation allows you to customize your preferences to have this feature enabled or disabled.

Large buttons allows you to enlarge the size of the toolbar icons on your toolbar. By default, the toolbar icons are displayed to be small icons.

Activate an application window. Access using the desktop View > Application Toolbars > Customize menu sequence or by clicking the drop-down arrow at the right of the application toolbar and selecting Customize. From the Customize dialog, select the Options tab.

  • Show Screen Tips - Check this setting to display a text prompt when you roll over a toolbar button. Clear this setting to disable this feature.
  • Large Icons - Check this setting to display large buttons on the toolbar. Clear this setting to display the small buttons.

 Click Close when finished.
