Confirming Removal of a Window

You can enable a confirmation dialog box for when you remove a window from a workspace that asks if you want to permanently remove the window. By default, this setting is not enabled, therefore unless you enable the setting, you will not receive a confirmation message before you remove a window from a workspace.

  1. From the Menu bar, click File > Preferences > Desktop. The TradeStation Desktop Preferences dialog is displayed.
  2. Click the General tab.
  3. Under Confirmations section, select the Confirm when removing a window from a workspace check box.

A check mark in the Confirmations check box indicates that a confirmation message will appear when deleting any window type. A green square displayed in the check box indicates that, for one or more windows, the remove confirmation message was displayed and you selected the 'Do not display this message again for this type of window' option. Thus, the confirmation will be displayed for some windows, but not for others. To reset the display of the confirmation message, you can either clear the check box (disabling the confirmation for all window types) or re-check the check box (enabling the confirmation for all window types).

  1. Click OK when finished.
