Customize Strategy/Position Arrows - Entries
The Entries tab allows you to customize the color and style of entry arrows and ticks for a strategy or a position, including whether to display the name of the entry signal. You can also choose to connect the entry with a line along by choosing a desired color and style line.
The chosen format for any strategy will apply to all strategies in the same Chart Analysis window. By default, the properties of the first strategy applied to the chart are used until the user makes a specific change.
If there are no related entries for the selected strategy, the Entries dialog will not contain any information.
Access using the Chart Analysis Studies > Edit Strategies menu sequence. From the Customize Studies & Strategies dialog, select the Strategies tab. Highlight a strategy to modify and select Customize. From the Customize Strategy: <strategy name> dialog, select the Entries tab.
- Entry Type - Displays the selected type of the entry that generates the order. The entry type changes based on the type you selected.
- Entry Arrow - Select the desired arrow to use for the selected entry type to be displayed on the active chart.
- Entry Arrow Color - Select the desired color to use for the entry arrows.
- Entry Tick - Select the desired arrow to represent the entry tick.
- Entry Tick Color - Select the desired to use for the entry tick.
- Connect Reversal to Corresponding Entry - Check this setting to plot a profit/loss line between reversing entries. Clear the check box if you do not want to display the line. The four settings below pertain to the entry/reversal line.
The following settings will be unavailable if you do not select the Connect Reversal to Corresponding Entry check box.
- Line Style - Select the desired line style from the Line Style drop-down list.
- Line Weight - Select the desired line weight from the Line Weight drop-down list.
- Profitable Trade Color - Select the desired color to use for lines representing profitable trades from the drop-down list.
- Unprofitable Trade Color - Select the desired color to use for lines representing unprofitable trades from the drop-down list.
Show Signal Name - Check this setting to display the name of the entry signal.
Set as Default - Check this setting to use any changes that you made as your default.
Show only a single arrow... - Check this setting to display a single arrow for multiple trades within a bar.
Click OK to apply changes or Cancel to exit without changes.
