Creating a Chart Analysis Window

When you create a Chart, it is automatically based on the currently selected symbol in the active window. If there is no symbol currently selected in the active window or no active window in your workspace, the most recent symbol specified in the Command Line is used. You can use the Command Line to change the symbol after you have created the new Chart Analysis window. For more information on using the Command Line, see About the Command Line.

When you create a new Chart, it will use the default settings for interval, style, scaling, and so on. You can customize these settings by selecting Symbol from the Customize menu. You can also enable the Customize Symbol window to display automatically after a new Chart Analysis window is created.

  1. Create a chart by clicking the Chart Analysis    icon in the Apps tab. A new Chart Analysis window is displayed.
  1. From the Main toolbar, enter a symbol in the Command Line Entry box, press ENTER, or click the Symbol Lookup icon for a symbol search.

For more information, see Customizing a Chart Analysis Window.
