EasyLanguage Object Reference Help

The EasyLanguage Object Reference includes help topics about a set of extensions to EasyLanguage that provide a powerful range of object-oriented programming tools designed to allow experienced developers ways of accessing information and managing program structures in a more advanced manner.

To get the most of out the object-oriented EasyLanguage extensions (sometimes referred to as Object-Oriented EasyLanguage or OOEL) you should have a working knowledge of EasyLanguage and a general understanding of object-oriented programming terminology and conventions.

This help file includes topics about:

EasyLanguage Classes - descriptions of EasyLanguage classes and related namespaces properties, methods, events, and inheritance.

Information about specific classes and their members can be found using the help Table Of Contents or Index or by right-clicking on a class name in the EasyLanguage editor and clicking on the Definition of Name... item listed.

Object-oriented Terminology - introduction to object-oriented programming concepts and terminology in EasyLanguage.

Accessing EasyLanguage Object Reference Help:

From the Menu bar of the TradeStation Development Environment, click Help > EasyLanguage Object Reference
Right-click on an object or property in the EasyLanguage code editor and select Definition of... to display the related help topic.
Select Help from a right-click shortcut menu while editing an EasyLanguage Document to access editor related help.

Ways to find information in Help:

Contents - The Contents tab provides a Table of Contents that organizes help topics by category much like the chapters in a book. Click the + to expand a category. Click the - to collapse a category. Click on a topic name to view the related topic.
Index - The Index tab lists keywords and phrases to help you to locate related topics and concepts within the help system. Type a keyword or select it from the list, then click Display to view the related topic.
Search - Use this tab to find the word(s) within help topics. Match similar words allows you to find the searched word in every help topic. Search titles only allows you to search the word in the Help topic title only. Using this option will reduce the results and is the preferred method of using Search.
