Formatting a Point & Figure Chart

Once you have created a Point & Figure chart, you can change the color and weight of the X and O columns.

  1. Activate a Point & Figure chart containing a desired symbol.
  2. From the Menu bar, click Format > Symbol. The Format Symbol [symbol] dialog is displayed.
  3. Click the Style tab.
  4. Under Bar type, confirm that X's and O's is the selected option.
  5. To display the X and O columns in the same color and weight, select the Use same color/weight for all components check box. Clearing this check box allows you to choose different colors and component weights for each column.
  6. To format the X columns:
    1. Select Up Column (X's) from the Bar components list.
    2. Select a color from the Component color drop-down lists.
    3. Select a weight from the Component weight drop-down lists.
  7. To format the O columns:
    1. Select Down Column (O's) from the Bar components list.
    2. Select a color from the Component color drop-down lists.
    3. Select a weight from the Component weight drop-down lists.
  1. Select the Set as Default check box to use the color and weight settings as the default for all future Point & Figure charts.
  2. Click OK when finished.
